An Epic Quest

I’d initially planned to go watch Disney • Pixar’s Onward in theaters, plans were definitely changed. I was able to watch Onward since Disney gave it an early release to digital download; it will “cometh soon” to Disney + on Friday, April 3 as well! As much as I love the movie theater experience (& can’t wait to go back), this was an excellent idea with all that is going on in the world.

I’ve been a Disney • Pixar fan (Toy Story, Brave, A Bug’s Life, & Finding Nemo) for 25 years. Wow, I’m getting old(er)! Ha! Nothing will stop me from seeing a new Disney • Pixar movie!

Onward is an epic quest about brotherhood & family. I cried happy tears (mostly); honestly, is it truly a Pixar film if you don’t cry? It’s unique; it’s not a remake or a sequel (prequel).

Tom Holland & Chris Pratt star as (the main characters) Ian & Barley Lightfoot (elven brothers) & both are the perfect fit for their roles. I’ve been a fan of Pratt’s & Holland’s films’ for awhile. When I heard that both actors would be starring in this new animated film with a fresh storyline, I had a feeling that I would adore this magical film.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Octavia Spencer, Mel Rodríguez, & the rest of the entire cast were amazing as well.

Onward shows you that what you truly long for could be right there beside you all along. Onward is what this world needs right now; it will put a smile on your face & happiness in your heart!

I recommend it for all ages & you will never look at unicorns the same way again!

As Barley would say, “put it in O, for onward!”
